    Alberta Marie Epplin, age 90, of Pinckneyville, departed from this life on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006 at 4:38 a.m. in the Pinckneyville Community Hospital Skilled Care Unit. Alberta was born on Nov. 19, 1915, a daughter to Albert W. and Bertha (Brand) Mohr. She married Bernard Epplin on Aug. 18, 1936 in Pinckneyville and he preceded her in death on Sept. 8, 2005. She was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church in Pinckneyville and a neighborhood quilting club. Survivors include four sons, John and Betty Epplin of Orion, Ill., Robert and Jan Epplin of Pinckneyville, Bernard and Joanie Epplin of Harrisburg, Ill., and Stephen and Marilyn Epplin of Pinckneyville; one daughter, Marilyn and Dave Crain of DuQuoin; one brother, Elmer Mohr of DuQuoin; three sisters, Helen Keiner of DuQuoin, Wilma Fischer of St. Louis, and Deloris Folkerts of St. Louis; fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister in infancy, and one brother, Richard Firman Mohr. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bruno Catholic Church in Pinckneyville on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Brian Barker officiating. Interment will be in St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery.
    Friends may call at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville on Friday from 6:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m., and again on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. till 9:30 a.m. The rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Luke Memorial Hospice or St. Bruno School or Masses.
