OBITUARY: Jerry B. Gleason Died May 19, 2005 HART - Jerry B. Gleason, 74, of Hart, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2005. He was born Aug. 29, 1930, in Battle Creek, to Gale and Opal Gleason. He married Jean Weatherholt on Nov. 7, 1953, in Mapleton. Jerry was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Oceana Fraternal Order of Eagles and the American Legion, Hart Post. He was also an alumnus of the University of Michigan and a veteran of the United States Navy. Jerry is survived by his wife, Jean Gleason of Hart; three sons, Timothy (Margaret) Gleason of Indiana, Richard (Dolores) Gleason of Pentwater and Steven (Kelli) Gleason of Hart; a daughter, Nancy (David) Stebbins of Fruitport; five grandchildren, Wade, Ross, and Haley Gleason of Hart, and Katie and Aaron Stebbins of Fruitport; a brother, Gale (Shirley) Gleason Jr. of Sault Ste. Marie; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gale and Opal Gleason; two brothers, Jack and Gilbert Gleason; and a sister, Barbara Gleason. Visitation has been held at the Tate Funeral Chapel in Hart. Funeral services will be held today, May 21, 2005, at 3 p.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Weare, with Fr. Anton Tran officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation. Arrangements are by the Tate Funeral Chapel in Hart; (231) 873-3415.
